Born in Hertfordshire, now based in London, Dan started his career as a Musician and Drummer. After 12 years that saw him tour the continent, write original material and teach the next generation, he became interested in plants and studied Horticulture and Garden Design at Capel Manor College. Dan’s work is focussed on the intersection between the natural world, the built environment and how people interact with both in their daily lives by creating human centric, biodiverse and resilient gardens. In 2026 he founded Dan Garcia Studio to bring his designs to residential and commercial clients.
Dan has worked on three RHS show gardens to date, each awarded a Gold Medal with notable designers Tom Massey, Rob Hardy and Luke Coleman.
